Luna Bar

On Saturday, my sister and I went out on an evening together with the cousins. Shien Wei decided to stay back at home and have his "me time" alone.

We started the evening with dinner at this fine dining restaurant called "Aquavit" at Changkat Bukit Bintang with Jacqui and Lars. It is a seafood restaurant emphasizing on its fishes cooked in different styles. It was a nice restaurant with well trained staff. Although it was expensive, it enjoyed myself and loved the food there.

We didn't realize that dinner had taken so long, before we realise it, it was already almost 9 PM when the main course arrived and we were supposed to meet the rest of my cousins at Luna Bar at 9 PM. We dished down our main course and shared one tiny creme brulee and rushed off to Luna Bar.

Luna Bar is a bar sitted on the rooftop of Pan Global building. The building itself is kinda on a hilltop so the view from the bar was stunning. We got to see Genting Highland from there. It was a very clear and beatiful night to be sitting on a rooftop. In the middle of the bar, there is a swimming pool where I am not sure whether people are welcomed to swim but it gives the bar an extra bonus to its ambience. Guests can sit around the pool and there are special corners where guests can sit on some cushions on the floor and enjoy the view and of course you'll be protected by a huge glass window. It was a lovely evening where the music wasn't too loud and it is great for chats and drinks. One caution though, the cover charge after 9.30 PM is RM50!! That was why we had to arrive there earlier than that to avoid the cover charge! Drinks weren't exactly cheap either. But this is done to deter "yuppie", "young" crowds and maintain as professional and decent lot. Will definitely go back there again and I am sure Shien Wei will love it.

Thanks Nick for recommending the place!

After Luna, we went to Imbi for Sago Loh. May and I got home close to 2 AM after sending Jacqui and Lars back. Good night out.

Boria

Hahaha... don't laugh. Yes we are wearing the same patterned blouses! Did we do it on purpose? Not exactly.

You see, I bought Jia Wen's shirt many months ago from Reject Shop in Subang Parade for 7 bucks. She has worn it herself a few times and she looked great in the colours!

2 weeks ago, I went to FOS at Ikano Power Centre and found a blouse with the exact print there. I couldn't resist although it was not 7 bucks, I bought it. Of course as you can see it isn't long sleeves like Jia Wen's but it is the exact same pattern. Cool eh?

Busy on the phone

Caught these photos a few weeks back when Jia Wen received a phone call from her girlfriend back in Puchong. They were very good friends when we were still living in Puchong and the would talk over the fences for hours!

God knows what they talked or gossiped about in this conversation but I reckon that they were talking about this other boy who lives 2 roads away. I haven't seen this boy yet but they seem to know quite a bit about this boy. Perhaps they have had some "encounters" with him before and find him "attractive"? I don't know. But this teleconversation went on and on for about one hour. As you can see Jia Wen did change positions quite a few times while talking. Rolling all over the bed, standing, sitting squating. Of course there were laughs and some serious moments during the conversation. From what I gather from eaves dropping is that this boy of the topic is about 3 years old and his father drives a Mercedez S Class and is planning to go to St Nicholas Montessori in USJ.

Oh well, looks like my daughter is starting young. Imagine my phone bill and if this conversation lasted about an hour, imagine how long it would be by the time she gets to 16 years old?!?

I actually want to put captions to these pictures but can't seem to do it without much hassle, but I am sure you guys can imagine it lar.

...

Can't think of a title for today's blog for the time being. So I'll just leave it as dot dot dot.

After my few weeks of non-blogging moments, I am finding it a bit hard to return to the world of blogging. Maybe it is because I am using dial-up at the moment and surfing on the internet isn't what it should be. Getting to this page itself takes perhaps 30 seconds longer than it used to with Streamyx. Or could it be just plain laziness?

I was so excited when the phone line got installed and the following day the computer arrived at my doorstep. It was a sigh of relief that I finally got to blog again but as you can see, since that day I haven't entered a decent entry when everyday before getting connected, I dream of blogging and thoughts kept pouring in. Oh well, that's why I started my blog today with nothing in mind and see where this takes me to. Hopefully it'll get me back to my "blogging craze".

The weekend was spent quite relaxed compared the the past few weekends. It started out with a Japanese buffet in KL City with Jacqui, her mum and Lars. We had a good dinner together as the crowd was much less compared the the last we were there. So we took our time and had time to chat while downing raw foods.

Saturday saw us in Puchong and Sunway Pyramid doing some minor shopping. We went to the teak shop in Puchong (where we got our teak stuff) but failed to see anything we liked so we left empty handed. Headed to Sunway Pyramid and had lunch at Manhattan Fish Market. It was our first time there and I must say I liked what we had though it was a little pricy.

Today was a lazy Sunday laced some rain. As usual, wasn't quite a constructive day except for preparing stuffed pita bread for dinner and now blogging! Not sure whether I'll continue with my Rollercoaster Tycoon PC game which I started this afternoon or to go to bed. I think I might just head to bed. Tomorrow is a start of a new week and I am thinking of taking a drive to the nearby market to see whether I can get some vegetables for the week. My fridge is in need of some fresh vegees.

Ok, after typing some 400 words (wild guess), I am maintaining my title as ...

I am back!

I am back....

Got our phone line yesterday and got our new PC today. Now I am blogging with our new Dell Desktop which we bought over the phone. Managed to get it hooked up to the phone line but unfortunately, we are using dial-up. I guess it is better than nothing.

Let's see, it has been almost 1 month since we moved into our new house here in Nilai and so far, it has been good. We are more or less settled in though we still have some unpacked boxes waiting for more storage space. So more furniture shopping to do.

Personally, I am really loving the house and it is our new home. It is not too big but definitely a lot bigger than the Puchong house. We have been quite enthused about the house and bought quite a bit for the house already. 2 weeks ago, we went to Ikea and bought wine glasses and some proper goblets for entertaining guests. We have had a few guests to the house and I am enjoying entertaining them. My brother-in-law said "How Bree of you" (Desperate Housewives). Of course we haven't done anything much about decorating the house but Shien Wei is quite "into-it" these days. Buying cushions for the house, etc.

There are still quite a bit to do for the house but we are taking it easy.

For the past 10 days, we had guests from Japan who came to stay with us in the house. Akira and his 4 year old son, Tona came for a visit. And of course last week, my sister moved in and will be starting her studies at INTI Nilai next week.

Many things to blog about but I dont't think I'll do it in one go. So till the next time, adios!

Oh yes, today I made my first Shepherd's Pie in my Teka Oven! Not to bad for a first timer.

I MISS YOU!

Hello cyber world! I miss you tremendously!!!!!!!!!!!!

(written in Puchong)

Tuesday, August 02, 2005

Hello!

Just a quick hello to everyone who has been reading my blog. Can't blog loads but at least you know that I am still alive!

We are now staying in Nilai and more or less settled in there. We are doing fine there and so far, I haven't had to go to rehab for my internet withdrawals yet. I am hanging on with the occasional splashes of cold water.

Anyway, for those who would like to come visit, you are most welcomed but please call first ok? I don't want you to come to a house which may not be presentable and so that I can boil the water and make some tea (or coffee).

We will be having our first stay-in guest this weekend for 2 weeks. Akira and his son Tona (friend from Japan) will be visiting. We'll be taking them to Penang the following weekend for a few days.

Till the next round, adios muchachos!
