OK, I admit that I was a little lazy to get a proper costume for Jia Wen's Halloween party. But when I saw this Indian costume in Tesco, I couldn't resist it and I had to buy it. So she went as an Indian girl. She looked very nice in the suite. Colours were vibrant and it suited her very well. Of course I went to buy bangles and "putu" for her to go with the costume.

USA

Jia Wen and I will be going to the United States of America next month to spend Thanksgiving with the Bespolkas in Florida. A suicidal attempt for me? Perhaps!

Since Shien Wei left MAS (technically, he hasn't left yet), we have our last FOC ticket to use by the end of next month. And since its our last FOC ticket, we have to make it as worth it as possible lah. So where else to go that will make its worth!? USA baby! Woo hooo!!!! Florida to be exact. Jacqui, my cousin will be spending Thanksgiving in Florida with the rest of her in-laws like she always does every year and so I thought I'd take this opportunity to visit her there and go to Disneyworld!

OK, let me tell you how long it will take Jia Wen and I to get to Florida from here. In total, it'll take 25 hours and 40 mins of FLIGHT TIME! I haven't counted the transit time in Stockholm and Newark Airport. At first I wasn't really keen on going especially when I have to bring Jia Wen along. I was really scared and am still scared of how Jia Wen would behave during the trip. Jia Wen hasn't been easy to handle lately and taking her on a almost 2 days flight isn't going to make her a happy child. I have been psyching myself lately that I can do it and I can manage it. I have to be mentally prepared. I know I am in for a tough ride and holiday. But what to do? I can't just burn my LAST FOC ticket right?! It'll be a sin! Plus, I didn't want to fly to anywhere else that Air Asia flies to either so basically it had to be somewhere far far away.

Why isn't Shien Wei going with us? He has just started at his new job so cannot go loh. Jia Xiang will be here with my mum who will come over to take care of him. (What would I do without my mum?)

I haven't told Jia Wen about our trip next month. I won't be telling her until nearer the time. I don't want her to get too excited and I can't have her asking me every single day till the day comes.

Last weekend, we went out to buy some winter clothings for Jia Wen. I know it won't be freezing cold in Florida but she still needed some. And since I had the RM200 voucher from Universal Traveller, we got some stuff from there and bought some from another shop. She enjoyed shopping for winter clothes. My daughter has got taste!

There's so much to do before I go - packing, planning, preparing, etc but guess what's on top of the list? ... You all know how we call passing motion in our house right? I need to (actually must) teach her to say "I want to pass motion" and not "I want to bomb bomb"! Imagine the catastrophe when she says that in the plane, in the airport or anywhere in the States!!!! I'll be in deep trouble man! Its going to be a difficult task but Shien Wei and I will start making changes now! Gosh how lah!?!?!?

Last weekend, we went to this supposedly very famous "foo chow" restaurant in Nilai. Yes in Nilai! Its been here for ages but recently they built their own restaurant on its own land along with a convention hall. Its really huge and impressive.

This restaurant is apparently a very famous "foo chow" restaurant and one of the best in the country too. It has also somewhat put Nilai into the food map and I promise you we were even more impressed when we went in. The restaurant is huge and there were a lot of people. Of course it was the weekend but I believe it is like this almost everyday especially at lunch times.

Right next to the restaurant, there's a convention hall where I guess where weddings are held. The decor was good and it was a very pleasant ambience. The restaurant is I would say as big as any Tai Thong restaurant.

The food was good especially the "Red Wine Chicken" which was very good. The price was reasonable. So for those who might be interested in "foo chow" food - come come! (please do not follow the map in the website, its the old restaurant)

Oh yes, Shien Wei is "foo chow".

The Amazing Race Asia 2 is back and will be airing in November! This season - EVERYONE must watch! Why? Because my cousin is in it! My cousin Ann Tan (standing second from left in black top). So all of you are obligated to not only watch religiously, you are also to cheer and root for my cousin's team - The Dancing Mums. Everyone must support, pray and make sure her team wins. My cousin rocks and she's so super cool!

Jia Xiang had his first official haircut at the salon yesterday. His hair was cut by the famous "Uncle Kelvin". He behaved as best as I could expect and he was more curious about who was cutting his hair than being irritated by the hair falling into his face. He kept on looking upwards and looking for the person touching his hair. Anyway, he looks so much better now though his hair is still standing but shorter lah.
