An evening at the park

We were at Putra Heights this afternoon.  An & I brought our kids to the park nearby and we brought our cameras along too.  So with our D50 and D60, we started shooting.  These are the results of my D60. 

 
I love take pictures of Sidney & Scott.  They are so easy take photos of especially Scott!  Scott is the most relaxed, stressless baby I know!

Friends Over

Jia Xiang had the Ruhan over a few days ago and he really enjoyed playing with Ruhan.  It is nice to see Jia Xiang playing very well with another kid his age.  Ruhan is a few months younger than JX but Ruhan is taller than him.  Ruhan of course speaks like a pro compared to my poor JX but the communicated well despite JX not talking so much.  I am glad Jia Xiang shares his toys quite well too.  Ruhan and Zenyi are from Perth and are visiting their grandparents here in Nilai.

JW’s Drawing

JW drew this earlier this evening. I got her to explain to me about the drawing and here’s what I understood from her explanation:

The characters from L – R: Jia Wen, bad guy (intruder or something), Mummy (me)
The bad guy has tied mummy up and is about to go into the house when he bumped in to Jia Wen. The bad guy said “I want to bit (excuse her spelling) you mum!”.. “Ha ha..” .. “ha..ha..”.
Then Jia Wen said “Hey!”… “Don’t bit (beat) my mum!!.. you nuts!!”
Ok I don’t know why I am sleeping (zzzzzz) there but it seems my hair is like that because the bird has gotten hold of my hair while I was sleeping.

Things to notice on the picture – bird nest with birds sitting on it in the tree, the sunset, the grass, the blue polka-dotted house, the smoke coming out of the chimney.

I don’t know where she got the idea and story from but it was totally out of the blue. She took out her paper and colours and started drawing. Not too bad I’ve got to say. In fact, when she was in Dubai, she started drawing pictures with dialogue boxes (bubbles) and I gave her the idea of drawing stories the comic way. She did and she was quite good at it. I didn’t get to scan those pictures (babe, can you look for those pictures and try to scan them please). It is only lately that she got the guts to draw limbs. Before this, she’ll only draw people with their head and body / clothes. She refused to draw limbs because she couldn’t draw it well so she didn’t dare draw it (you’d probably notice “mummy” without her her arms but at least I am wearing heels!! hahah

He Ain't Heavy

...he's my brother

I think most of you know that my brother is a music DJ who has been spinning in various clubs in KL. He has been a DJ for more than 10 years and have seen grown into international club scenes. He has played in Japan, Australia and Indonesia. He is now the resident DJ at a new club in KL called Euphoria by the Ministry of Sound.

This is a rare moment where my 2 kids cooperated into taking photos together. I am glad I took out my camera at the correct time and I think these were great shots of them both. Shien Wei has been bugging me to take photos of them since he is so far away!
